Few bits I've made over the last few days.

Good Evening Lovelies! I hope you've all enjoyed your Bank Holiday Weekend? Shame about the weather!

I thought I'd share a few of my makes from the last few days, well those that I can for now lol ;) sorry it is photo heavy!

My friend's Triplets had their 1st Birthdays on Saturday, can't believe how fast that year has gone!

A tag I made for a challenge, using Lavinia Stamps and a Memory box Stencil.

Sheena Douglass Butterfly over stamped and embossed in black EP, Memory Box Stencil for background.

A lovely friend of mine has just adopted a gorgeous baby girl Gracie, I made this card for her and the one below for their birth daughter Sophie, couldn't leave her out, she is 4, bless her.

A tag I made for a challenge. Using Tim Holtz stamps which I used the "Faux Batik" technique for the background.

Another tag for a challenge.

Thank you for spending time visiting, I hope I haven't bore you with all my photos? Have a great evening, Zoe xx

A few makes from this week!

Good afternoon Lovelies! Well the good weather didn't last too long did it?

Along with some of my makes from this week I just wanted to give you a little heads up! Sheena Douglass is appearing on Create and Craft tv on Friday at 1pm and 6pm, featuring a real mix: Butterflies, Mystery Village, Oriental, Under the Sea and maybe more, tune in to watch some fab demos.

So here's a bit of what I've been up to, can't show all as some are for DT's ;)

My first I used the "Faux Batik" technique on my background, all Tim Holtz products used on this card.

It was my Mums Birthday yesterday as well as her Silver Wedding Anninversary, here's the cards I made for them, her favourite colour is cerise!

This is a card for a lovely friend, I masked the edges and Brayered on Silks Acrylics, the stamps are Woodware called "Teasels" I used some Rangers enamel to add the dots.

It's our 21st wedding Anniversary tomorrow (Thursday 22nd) and I made something a little funky for Hubs, not sure he will like it? But I do lol! I used a white wax crayon to create a resist, which is a fabulously easy but effective technique I learned at Eileen Godwins workshop, the dots are Ranger enamel.

Thank you for visiting today, I hope you like my cards xx Zoe xx

Zoe - 33rd Challenge - "Nothing Floral/No Flowers"

Good morning Lovelies! I hope you've all been enjoying the glorious sunshine? Well I've scheduled this post and it's warm and sunny whilst I do it! Lol good old British weather can change in a flash!

So another fortnight passed and we are onto our 33rd Challenge, at Rhedd and Rosie the theme is "Nothing Floral/No Flowers" our fab Sandie is sponsoring this challenge, she will also be choosing the winner this time, she is offering a fab prize to the winner! Check out the bottom of the post to see what it is!

So here's my entry! Only my third attempt lol! Every one I made when I looked had something a bit floralish! Lol! So I plumbed for this cute little fella!

I sprayed "Goosebumps" onto my card, once dried, I stamped a text background stamp from TH using Pewter Distress paint, once dry I went about inking with Distress inks, I gave it a good buff with a dry soft cloth before stamping to bring the shine up on the "Goosebumps", I used the cup rings from TH, the feathers and splats from Visible Image, the "Feather Bird" is from "Lost Coast Designs" I love him, poor little shabby waif lol! I used 3 yards of seam binding, spritzed with water, then used Distress Stains to colour it, screwed it all up and dried it to add to the shabby effect!

Here's the fab prize!

I hope you like my design? Thank you for taking the time to visit, why not hop along to my fellow R&R teamies? Have a great day xx Zoe xx

12 Tags of 2014 - May

Good evening! What a gorgeous day it's been today, oh I love sunshine and warmth. I got my domestic engineering, ironing and washing done early, so I was able to have an hour in the garden with a cuppa, before going to do shopping and the dreaded Dentist :( I don't like going, but all ok for another 6 months thank goodness!

Well I'm sticking to my promise to myself that I would do each tag of Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2014, I've struggled with this one as I had very little of the items, but managed to improvise. So here's my version of Tim's May tag! For info click on the link above!

Thank you for visiting, xx Zoe xx

Sheena Douglass - Create and Craft Shows

Good morning Lovelies! I hope you all had a good weekend? The weather wasn't too great was it :(

Anyway today is the day :D Sheena Douglass has 2 fabulous shows lined up for today on Create and Craft TV 9am and 3 pm you won't want to miss them, they will be full of fab techniques to use with the wonderful Embossing folders from the "A Taste of India" range, here's a sneaky peep at another one of my samples, hope you like it xx

I first coloured some watercolour card with distress stains, once dried I ran through Ebosser using the Indian ornament screen EF, I then Brayered over the raised area with versamark ink and heat embossed using clear EP, then I spritzed a generous amount of gold mica powder mixed with water all over it until it puddled in places and collected into the de bossed areas, and dried it, I then buffed it with a soft cloth to reveal the shiny embossed areas, sadly the bling doesn't show up so well on the photo, I cut some foliage and flowers from a die in white and spritzed with what was left from the mica solution.

I hope you like my card, thank you for visiting and have a great day xx Zoe xx

Sneaky peep # 4 - for Sheena Douglass show

Good morning Lovelies! Well it's been a wet few days for most, I'm hoping it's going to stay dry today, fingers crossed, I need to get out for a bike ride.

So the fab Sheena Douglass is gracing our screens tomorrow (Monday 12th) at 9am and 3pm on Create and Craft tv. She will be demoing some fab techniques using the Embossing Folders from the "A Taste of India" set, what a gorgeous and versatile set they are, not specifically for Indian themed projects, but perfect if you want them for that.

Today's sample from me is done with the same technique I showed yesterday, "Faux Batik" using Wax Paper, check out yesterday's post on here to find out how it's done, I used the Mango Henna Embossing folder this time, I love this folder, the flowers are also from this folder, I just embossed onto some reverse side of Centura Pearl card, cut them out and swiped over with Distress ink, the sentiment is a die cut, cut twice and off set to create a shodow effect.

I hope you like today's sneaky peep, pop back tomorrow for the rest of my samples, and don't forget to tune in or record tomorrow shows, for all the fab demos by our very talented crafty guru Sheena Douglass.

Thank you so much for visiting today, have a great day xx Zoe xx

Sneaky peep # 3 for Sheena Douglass shows on Monday

Good morning Lovelies! Here's another sneaky peep of my samples for Sheena Douglass show on Create and Craft, Monday 9am and 3pm! Featuring the "A Taste of India" Embossing Folders.

For my sample I have used a "Faux Batik" technique using wax paper.

I started by running some wax paper through my Ebosser using the floral confetti folder, then sandwiched the wax paper between 2 bits of Centura pearl card (reverse side) then covered with a cloth and ironed using a hot "Dry" iron no steam, you won't see much but if you tilt it into the light you will see a slight pattern, you then ink over using distress inks, you get a positive and a negative pattern as you've used 2 bits of card, so 2 for 1, I embossed on a plain white card and cut out some flowers to embellish my card, a very simple design but effective I think?

Thank you for visiting today, don't forget to watch Sheena Monday or set the recorder, have a wonderful day, xx Zoe xx

Sneaky peep number 2 for Sheena's show

Good morning Lovelies. Are you ready for a second "Sneaky peep"?

I hope you can tune in or record Sheena Douglass shows, which are on Create and Craft tv, Monday 9am and 3pm, she will be demoing some fabulous techniques with the "A Taste of India" Embossing Folders, us Inkoids have had such fun discovering new and innovative ways to use them, it's surprising the things you can do with them.

So here's my second sample, I hope you like it? I kept it simple this time xx

Just embossed the reverse side of Centura Pearl card, cut bits out with a knife and layered onto black card, few flowers and the stem cut from the same folder to finish off, I like this card, I hope you do, thank you for visiting today, back tomorrow with another sneaky peep. Have a great day xx Zoe xx

Sheena's C&C dates and a sneaky peep

Good afternoon Lovelies! Well it's wet, wet, wet, not the band either :( I hate rain! I've done all my housework today and grocery shop, phew, I need a break to craft!

So the fabulously talented Sheena Douglass, has a couple of shows coming up on a Create and Craft TV, on Monday the 12th May at 9am and 3pm featuring the fabulous "A Taste Of India" Embossing Folders.

So here's a sneaky peep of one of my samples.

I used the Tiger Embossing Folder for the first layer, my topper I used Dylusions spray inks to colour some Centura Pearl card, the reverse side, I stamped in black using some of the stamps from the Taste of India sets to add some interest, I then embossed using the "Indian Ornate Screen" I then rolled over the embossed side with my Brayer using Versamark ink, clear embossing powder and heat embossed, I then inked using using cut n dry foam and Walnut Stain Distress ink and some Black Soot here and there for more depth and texture, the flowers are from the "Floral Confetti" Embossing folder which I just kept plain and cut out, I used 3D glue gel to adhere the flowers with some dimension, mounted all onto black card, I raised the topper on 3D glue gel for more dimension.

I hope you like my card and will tune in on Monday to watch the shows? Or record them of course, you won't want to miss the fantastic techniques Sheena will be demoing. Thank you for taking the time to visit and comment, have a great day xx Zoe xx

Zoe - 32nd Challenge - Rhedd and Rosie's - "All About Texture"

Good Morning Lovelies, I hope you all had a fab Bank holiday weekend.

So here we are another fortnight has slipped away and so that means Rhedd and Rosie's new challenge! I'm lucky enough to be Judging this one and I'm also sponsoring it too I am giving away this fab Stamp Set to my winner!

Please be mindful of the rules when submitting your entries and remember the theme is texture, so it does need to be prominent.

Here is my make! I've used one of my favourite designers stamp sets, Wendy Vecchi, I've built up texture in the background using techniques with inks and layering stamps, the heart is a die that was inked the same way, I used texture paste through a mask to create texture and heated it until it bubbled, the flower and leaves is Wendy Vecchi "Clearly for art" mouldable plastic which I covered with Tim Holtz frosted film, die cut, coloured with Archival ink and heated and shaped.

I hope you like my card and feel inspired to join in the challenge? Thank you for visiting today, I love reading your comments, have a great day xx Zoe xx

Zoe - challenge - #5 - May "Birthday Girl"

Good morning lovelies! I'm on my way home from Turkey today and so this post has been scheduled, I hope it's worked ok?

Here are my samples for Lavinia Stamps Challenge #5 and this months theme is "Birthday Girl" please be mindful of the few rules we have regarding our challenge, we will only except entries that use Lavinia Stamps Only Tracey offers a very generous prize of £40 in vouchers to spend on Lavinia products which is why we need to be rather strict about the rules, thank you in advance!

My first card I used the Paperartsy chalk paints with a sponge to create a splodgy effect then used a stencil with a Damask style pattern with Archival ink through it, I stamped the "Gerbara" stamps in Archival ink in various colours, I also stamps the Gerbara onto some printed paper and cut them out for embellishments!
My tag I painted with Silks Acrylics by Luminarts, I used the same stencil as my card and pounced through with the Silks in darker shades and then stamped with the brown Silks using the Wild flowers stamp, a few little liquid pearls and a metal sentiment I coloured with Alcohol inks, added some tiny butterfly punches also coloured with Silks, the ribbon I coloured with Distress stains to match up the colours.

Thank you for visiting, I really appreciate the time you take to comment. Have a great day xx Zoe xx
