A Canvas for Oyster Stamps

Good afternoon Lovelies, and what a lovely day it is, I've been busy doing all my domestic chores this morning so I'm hoping I will get some time to go out in the garden later.

I made a Canvas yesterday for my DT project for Oyster Stamps Using the Poppy Forest Stencil by Donna Downey.

The canvas is 8"x10" also from Oyster Stamps.

I used Gelatos on my background, just scribbled on the canvas and just blending together with my fingers and water, a selection of stencils on my background with various colours of Distress inks, my circles are a stamp from Indigoblu, but can easily be created by using a pen using a stencil or dipping a bottle top in paint, the words are also from a Donna Downey stencil, a few dots and splatters added to finish off and create some texture and voila!

Thank you for visiting, I hope you like my canvas, I certainly enjoyed creating it. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day xx Zoe xx

Memory box from Oyster Stamps

Good afternoon Lovelies, well it's dry and sort of sunny, but warm it ain't! I'm hoping we will get some more summer weather before Autumn lol!

Today I'm sharing with you 2 DT cards I've made for Oyster Stamps Using the fab Memory box dies -

Memory Box - Snowflake Centerpiece and Open Studio Die Distressed Snowdrift Collage.

My first card I created A colourful background by sprinkling very sparingly some Brusho crystal paints onto card, I then mixed some mica powder into my water spritzer and spritzed the Brusho's and covered with Bubble Wrap until dry, the shimmer from the mica is quite subtle but very pretty when used with either bubble wrap or cling film.

My second card I used Distress Spray ink and a memory box stencil for the background.

Thank you for visiting today, have a great rest of the day xx Zoe xx

A colourful little tag

Good evening Lovelies, so what are your plans for the weekend? I'm hoping the weather improves, it's raining bucket loads here :( I hate rain, it's been a miserable day, at least I got a bit of crafting done.

I made this tag yesterday using products you will find at Oyster Stamps

Goosebumps

Distress inks - spiced marmalade, festive berries, blueprint sketch and black soot

Distress stains colours as above

Penny Black dies

Prima Marketing - Finnabair stamp and beads

Prima marketing - Color bloom gold foil metalic spray

I stamped a plain white card tag with a Tim Holtz stamp using Versafine black ink, then I sprayed the Goosebumps, I used the Matt finish ones, once dry I then blended my inks using my round ink blender tool, I flicked some water over it and dabbed with a dry cloth and heat dried it just to create a bit more texture and inked the edges with black soot, the die cut leaves and mixed media die I sprayed with the Color bloom ink and dried with a heat tool, I stamped the butterfly from the Rust and Dust stamp set By Finnabair and coloured with DI and cut out, stuck on, added some beads and voila, I stained the ribbon with distress stains in the same colours.

Thank you for visiting and have a great weekend xx Zoe xx

Penny Black die

Art Basics Texture Paste

Finnabair - Don't forget to fly,

Exciting News

Good Evening Lovelies, well what a day! Started off bucketing it down this morning and I was driving down to Rochester to Oyster Stamps open day, it's only 50 mins away but the thought of driving in pouring rain wasn't doing it for me, but.........it stopped just before I left and turned out a beautiful warm sunny day.

I met up with a few of my lovely crafty friends who were demoing for Oyster Stamps, Eileen Godwin, Marianne Lait, Hellen Pearce and Martine Smith, plus a few other people I've met through workshops. So! While I was there Martine introduced me to Tracy, the lovely lady who I think owns Oyster Stamps? She asked to speak to me, anyway, cutting a long story shorter she asked me to join the Design Team, how fab is that, of course I've accepted and as a thank you I've made 3 cards, using products that are all available from Oyster Stamps, as a regular online shopper of theirs I have lots of stash from there Already, so it was easy to oblige xx

My first card I used Penny Black stamp and stencil to create the main image, which I already had, the fab stitched banner I bought today, the "Thanks" is a Penny Black die

Memory box corner die, Penny Black die and Donna Downey stamp set which I stamped with Archival first then the solid bit I used Brusho's and spritzed with mica in water to stamp with, the shimmer is subtle but very pretty, I already had all of these products in my stash, but they all came from OS.

The flowers and words are both Donna Downey and bought today, the corner die is from the same Memory box set as the first card.

Thank you for visiting today, I hope you like my cards, enjoy what's left of your Sunday xx Zoe xx

New Sweet Poppy stencils

Good Morning Lovelies! Well! After such a beautiful day yesterday, it's pouring with rain today, oh the British weather certainly gives us plenty to talk about lol!

Today I'm going down to Oyster Stamps in Rochester, they have an open day and a few of my lovely crafty friends are demoing there, can't wait to see Eileen, Marianne, Hellen and Martine, plus the other ladies that I don't know so well.

Today I'm sharing a few more of my samples using the fabulous new stencils by Sweet Poppy, these will be featured on Create and Craft TV next month.

My first card I used the fab Holly Baubles which was designed by the wonderfully talented Tracey Dutton from Lavinia Stamps, the background is also a new back plate. I inked through the stencil, washed and dried it then replaced it and used Translucent Texture paste and dipped in clear Micro beads. I always use a magnetic sheet when using my Sweet Poppy stencils, it keeps everything in place well.

Sparkle Medium.

Brusho's background spritzed with a bit mica powder in the water and large bubble wrap placed on top to create some texture and shimmer, it's much prettier in the flesh, the Chritsmas Blessings stencil is another beauty designed by Tracey Dutton, I love this one, it's classy and versatile, I used Glossy Black Texture paste through the stencil, very simple, a little die cut and ribbon and voila!

Thank you so much for spending the time to visit, have a great weekend, Zoe xx

Good morning Lovelies, and what a beautiful morning it is, I hope you have some fab things planned for your weekend?

I'm sharing with you today some more of my DT samples for Sweet Poppy our lovely Lucy is very lucky to have such wonderful designers - Tracey Dutton from Lavinia Stamps and Emma Cronin, superb work ladies.

This gorgeous Holly Wreath was designed by Tracey Dutton, it's beautiful and very detailed.

I've used Distress inks to colour through, dried and washed the stencil then replaced in position and spread Translucent paste and dipped into clear Micro beads.

Just a very simple design here using Turquoise Sparkle Medium.

This SnowGlobe is called Caribo and was designed by the very talented Emma Cronin.

I used Aquatints to colour my background then spritzed water through the "Starry background" stencil and dried, Lucy thinks it looks like Aurora Boliaris, I hadn't thought of that but I think she's right? I used Black Stars Sparkle Medium on Acetate.

I used Distress inks to colour through stencils, dried, washed stencil and replaced, added Translucent texture paste and dipped in clear Micro Beads.

Thank you very much for visiting, back tomorrow with a few more Sweet Poppy samples, have a great weekend, Zoe xx

New Sweet Poppy Stencils

Good evening Lovelies long time no see! Lol well I'm still struggling with jet lag a bit, we got home Saturday and after 3 weeks away I'm finding it hard getting back to normal, well that's my excuse anyway lol, we had a wonderful time in Canada with our daughter, it was nice to get home but sad to say "goodbye" again, it never gets any easier :(

Anyway I've managed to make a few bits with the new Sweet Poppy stencil designs, they are gorgeous. You will love them.

I used Sparkle Medium on my baby cards.

Glossy White texture paste heated and brushed with pale gold and iridescent mica powder, the background I used white pigment ink through the background stencil and brushed with mica powder, the photos never really show the shimmer very well.

Canvas using chalk paints and silver micro beads.

I hope you like my makes, have a great evening xx Zoe xx

Zoe - Challenge #7 July "Flowers"

Good morning Lovelies from a beautiful Saint Catharines in Ontario, Canada. Here on our Holibobs visiting our lovely daughter Ashley for 3 weeks, fingers crossed I've got the timing right on my scheduled post? 5 hour time difference.

So here we are another month gone, boy the time is flying. It's Challenge #7 for July and the theme this month for Lavinia Stamps Challenge is "Flowers" Can't wait to see what you make for this month, the challenge is a very successful one with more and more entries each month, must be the fantastic prize - £40 voucher to spend online in the Lavinia Stamps store. Please be mindful of the few rules we have to enter this challenge. You must use Lavinia Stamps or products on your project!

So here are my samples.

My Tag is textured with texture paste smeared onto watercolour card first, then once dry I spritzed the card the used Aquatints blobbed on using a pipette, I love all the wicking as the colours merge together, I used Gold gilding wax over the textured bit to create depth and interest, I stamped my images and word and edged the card using a gold glittery pen, I mounted onto my tag which is Kraft card, I stamped the script background and spritzed with a gold spray ink by Prima Marketing - Color Bloom. I always find my photography skills (or lack of lol) don't really show the work to its true shimmery beauty!

My second make is some small wooden tags I've had lying around for years, I primed with Gesso first then painted using the gorgeous chalk paints by Parper Artsy, stamped my flowers, added some highlights using white and Gold gel pens, I hand wrote the flower names and edged with gold gilding wax to finish off, and voila, a little tag sampler!

Thank you for spending the time to visit my blog today, please visit my teamies blogs too and look at their wonderful creations, you will find their blogs down the right side of my blog page.

Have a great day xx Zoe xx
