New Sweet Poppy Stencils

Good morning Lovelies! Yep! It's me again, what a beautiful morning it is here, sunny and mild.

Today I'm sharing a couple more samples using the fab new stencils from Sweet Poppy

Both were created using Crealies xxl stitched dies and Gelli plates, the girl one I used 4" round Gelli plate and boy one I used my little 3x5" Gelli plate, I also used Sweet Poppy White Pearlescent paste and "Beadazzles" do you remember them? I've had them years and rarely use them but they are so pretty, I must use them more.

I hope you like my designs, please pop back tomorrow for another post using the new stencils xx have a fantastic day xx Zoe xx

Brand new Sweet Poppy Stencils

Good morning Lovelies, hope your all well, I can't believe we are at the end of January already, gosh the times flying by, roll on Spring I say!

Did you watch our fab Lucy Ellis yesterday on Create and Craft TV? Fab demos.

Today I'm sharing with you a card I've made using one of the stunning new stencils by Sweet Poppy, this one is Called "Black Daisy" although I've made them White lol, I love this stencil, well I love all of them, but the simplicity of this one really appeals to me.

I used Crealies xxl double stitch oval nesting die to create an aperture. I used white Gesso through the stencil using a bit of foam to create a "resist" then simply blended Distress inks over once dry, I used a wet wipe over the Gesso to remove the ink and make the flowers "pop", the centres of the flowers I used a Versamark pen and dusted over using the gorgeous "nude" Mica powder by Sweet Poppy, a very simple card, I hope you like it?

Thank you for visiting, please pop along to Sweet Poppy website to check out all the wonderful new Stencils here

Have a great day, stay warm xx Zoe xx

Zoe - Challenge #19 wk 1

Good morning Lovelies and welcome to my humble blog.

Today I'm sharing with you my project for Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge blog for details please click on the link.

So I used a 6x6 grey board from Chocolate Baroque, I used white Gesso then painted using a buff coloured chalk paint, I used a script stencil with the green chalk paint and stamped with Aqua chalk paint using the new "Open Weave" background stamp, I just used it randomly without an acrylic block, using a leafy mask I mixed texture paste with the green paint and spread it through the mask and left over night to dry fully, I stamped the "Flowerheads" using Versamark ink and heat heat embossed with black EP, I used watercolour crayons and a water brush to colour in my flowers, I wanted a more grungy look, I used 300GSM card for my flowers, which I mounted using hot glue once the texture paste was set, I stamped my words which are from the Artistic Affirmation stamp set using Black Archival ink as its onto paint, I added lots of gold colour liquid pearls for some more texture and a gold gilding wax lightly rubbed over the textured leaves and around the edges of my Wallhanging.

Thank you for visiting, I hope I've inspired you to have a go, have a great day xx Zoe xx

A few little dabbles

Good evening Lovelies. I hope you're all well and managing to keep warm in this cold snap.
It seems like ages since I blogged last, so I thought I would share with you a few of my little dabbles from the last week or so.
My first little tag is what I've made this evening for a Facebook group challenge, the theme was "Music"

My card I also made this evening for the same group but a different challenge, a "colour challenge"

It's my Mother in laws birthday this Friday and here's the card I've made for her, the stamps I've used are from Chocolate Baroque.

And my final card I used Sparkle Medium through the gorgeous Sweet Poppy stencil, it's what I made for my gorgeous little foster baby for his first birthday which was 16th January, bless him.

Playing with 4" round Gelli plate

Good evening Lovelies, I hope you're well and managing to keep warm, dry and safe.

I've not had a great deal of playtime this last week, but tonight I've had a little play with my 4" round Gelli plate, such a great size and very versatile, I've used distress inks on it today, I think I prefer using inks on my Gelli plates because you get a more translucent effect. Anyhow here's what I've made.

My first card I've combined the Gelli plate with stamps, die cuts and stencils, the stunning Amazing Daisies stamp set are from Stamps by me

Very simple, sequin waste and bubble wrap.

Stamps from Indigoblu, this card is for my friends little boy.

Thank you for spending the time to visit today, have a great evening xx Zoe xx
